for the lighthouse painted like a barber pole
Folks don’t come for a haircut or shave to this house that’s tucked into a nave of a rocky coastline but I think it’s divine to save most from a watery grave. ······· ·······When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
