Jennings Writer of: Poetry & Prose Referred By:Just wondered in.	A Star The firelight from the hearth reflects on tinseled tree aglitter with small twinkling ornaments. Projects the essence of a garnered myth which lends no grace; no love or peace to those in need, without a prayer. No rescue from the cold, surcease from widened need to give and share. As choirs sing carols in the night of precious babe, a star and kings; a weeping mother knows the plight of starving child. Her vigil brings no solace. Tears, her visage mar, illuminated by a star. ·············· When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
