I'm very happy to have found your board. I moved to New Zealand from Northern California and am finding it very beautiful. One of my goals while here in this quiet country is to write, but one of my banes is procrastination. I hope being part of this writing community will stimulate my muse! Dear All,
My pencil name comes from John Greenleaf Whittier whose
"Barbara Frietchie" captured me for poetry and rhymed with dittier as that's me, a dittyist.
I don't fit well here at MM because I'm a maverick, not much committed to modern style poetry, rather interested in light verse and the style of the bards of yore.
Only because there are so many of you who write/compose so well do I stay here, more to read than post.
THe salutation 'Dear" I use because I started my very first post that way and because I'm an old phoughy! Actually it's due also that you're dear to me, especially if you read anything I write.
