again the circle's drawing near to full
frail shrunken withered being lying there
within herself first felt the fetal pull
as one we were till birthed in light and air

and now my turn to feed the one who fed
and now my turn to lift who first held me
and now my turn to lead the one's who led
as spiral time and life as needs-must be

Hi Mike

This is a very moving read for me, bringing back memories of my own mother, who had Alzheimer's. It does indeed take some adjusting to being 'parent to the parent'. It's part of my life that I still struggle to come to terms with even though my mother passed away 3 years ago.

You have expressed your emotions very well and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Thanks for sharing
