quatre à suivre
For to follow nouvelle forme, not sounding hollow a novice first must have a thought to kick around
that has a value in and of itself, though it may ne’er astound an unsuspecting reader with its worth; it needn’t be profound,
Writer plays with meanings, sounds… through cold and fever ‘til it’s done… and swears to leave ‘er quatre à suivre

Now if that was me, JD, I'd have tipped 'er an entire suivre, not just a quatre.
Of course, that's presuming the service was good!

Well sir Daniel, fancy meeting me here, eh?
I liked this poem when I read it on PV but I have to profess my ignorance (of French) despite growing up in Canada until 5th grade. Will you tell me what it means?
Then I might be able to comment
Your pal in light, Cyn

Merlin Thanks for visting, Merlin...
but I think you know quite well that Lori (Cleo) has given us great service... and I certainly would leave her more than a quarter!
I'm just offering this as a 'tip' for her latest service, the quatre-par-huit!

Your pal in light, Cyn Hey, Cyn!
The phrase simply is an echo of the first line "for to follow," except it is "four to follow"... a promise that this ain't my last quatre-par-huit!
deLighting to share, Daniel

Hi Daniel. :vic:
I am in awe of how easy you've made this look!
These lines are so poignant and compliment the whole:
a novice first must have a thought to kick around that has a value in and of itself, though it may ne’er astound an unsuspecting reader with its worth; it needn’t be profound
No nits - only admiration!
Cheers! :champagne: :mm: ~Cleo :pharoah2
