quatre à suivre
For to follow nouvelle forme, not sounding hollow a novice first must have a thought to kick around that has a value in and of itself, though it may ne’er astound an unsuspecting reader with its worth; it needn’t be profound, Writer plays with meanings, sounds… through cold and fever ‘til it’s done… and swears to leave ‘er quatre à suivre © MLee Dickens’son 05 Jan 2005 ·······  ·······Slow down; things will go faster!

I liked this poem when I read it on PV but I have to profess my ignorance (of French) despite growing up in Canada until 5th grade. Will you tell me what it means? Then I might be able to comment Your pal in light, Cyn ······· ······· |

Hi Daniel,
Good to read you again.  I must confeess the title threw me when I translated it to Four to Follow, it made no sense whatsoever. Then I read your explanation and all became clear. I love this ~ it could almost be used by a teacher of Poetry (she/he would have to explain your very clever French play on the first line,) but you have stated your meaning lucidly and in language that a beginner could comprehend immediately. Well done! It is very good to see your fertile mind at work again Daniel.
