Septolet
The Septolet consists of seven lines containing fourteen words written in two parts with a break in between them, each part dealing with the same thought… to create one picture (to a degree, somewhat like the concept of haiku/senryu — which contain two snapshots of aspects of the same reality). Thank you, Fran... I've just rediscovered this form myself and have not yet really gotten a feel for it, but I want to. I hope you'll join me in the quest? Yesterday, amid working on a series of acrostics during this month, I wrote this one in the septolet format:

you have an amazing talent for your double-acrostic poems. That takes a kind of mind-juggling I've yet to figure out. Maybe you could pass on to me some technique or trick you utilize to keep your mind focused on the end-product. You've hit the mark for septoleting, methinks... so the ONLY suggestion I'd make is changing your title to YEARS OF NOTHING deLighting in your ingenuity, Daniel  Hmmm... and coming back to this, here's my first attempt to follow your lead of a double acrostic septolet: SUCCESS NOT EASY Striving in unison to complete that common cause... encapsulating criteria so participants see synergy © MLee Dickens'son 2013 ······· ·······Slow down; things will go faster!
