Alluring globs of decadent dressings undress my sensation’s control.
Succulent turkey smells waft delicately airing enticing aroma, tempting an abundance of delicacies eager for devouring.
Filling pie, cheery fruitful flavors of contentment satisfy, while digested gladdened tidings reveal another year of thankful blessings. ©Linda Balboni 2002

Oh boy! It's gotten HOT in here! :grinning:
Love it Lindi!
May I offer an alternate ending?
How about:
thankful dressings instead of
thankful blessings?
Just an idea.... to waft over.... :turkey:
Great job Lindi! ~Cleo :pharoah:

Hi Lindi!
Boy, have you got me salivating for "alluring globs of decadent dressing"! Yummm! I'm having olfactory hallucinations just thinking about it. (heh-heh) I've been doing Atkins since last March and haven't had a speck of bread. Thus the hallucinations. ~smile~
I really enjoyed this fun piece, it's perfect to get me in the mood for turkey, turkey, turkey.....
I liked this piece just the way it is. I'm not sure about Jly's suggestion about changing 'undresses to undress', they may be correct but my grammer is kind of weak, so can't really say. I do like undresses better. Seems to keep with the decadent feeling of this piece a little more for me.
Thanks again for posting this piece. I enjoyed reading it very much. Wishing you and your family a very happy Thankgiving!
Love and stuff, Chris :)

QUOTE(JLY @ Nov. 21 2004, 10:47) Linda, You have whet my appetite and it is not yet Thanksgiving. I have mental images of savory morsels of turkey.
One thought, in the following line:
undresses my sensation’s should the word undress be utilized?
A fun and timely poem, remindful of the joy of Thanksgiving. JLY Hello JLY~
Thanks for stopping by and commenting so generously on my Thanksgiving poem.
You are absolutely correct and "thanks" as I didn't even catch how I used undresses incorrectly! (too concerned with the dressing/undressing play on words)
I did a slight revision in keeping the poem "full", which is what I tried to do given the abundance so many of us are lucky enough to have on Thanksgiving Day!
Happy holidays to you!
Lindi

Hey Lindi,
Ah ah... I quite enjoyed this... and the frolicky and whimsical way you weaved in sensuality, a bit of lusty teasing with a tasty turn of turkey and Thanksgiving gobbles.. I think only you and Larry could pull off this so well.. Not a nit.. Just a pleasant and delightful read...
Hugs, Liz :cloud9:

Hi Lindi
Hey, the first stanza: alluring, decadent, dressings, undress, sensations, control. Hmmm, ah yes, of course, a turky in a slinky evening dress. Seriously though, for me a highly spiced meal of epicurian enjoyment. With the undertones of spiritual enlightenment to the succulent flavours.
