Keep it to yourself
Maladies which transpired are disease we acquired
through the air or by touch. What we share, don’t take much
for one germ does the trick. I’ll confirm you’ll get sick.
Please don’t spread; stay in bed.

OMG, Larry (and Daniel who originated this thread of Sonnet Bref), this is something to get my head around. I laughed at your Sonnet Bref-er and then came Sonnet Bref-est, if I remember right.
Well, yes, I hate it when people sneeze and cough all over the place, or get out of bed with a fever. No. And now with this Zika scare, hey, keep away!
Can't say I'm in love with the style...yet. I'll give myself a chance. Tx for reviving this old thread. Quite a surprise!

Mis temas favoritos The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
"There is no life higher than the grasstops Or the hearts of sheep, and the wind Pours by like destiny, bending Everything in one direction."

Heat Advisory
Stay in bed when this hot; better shed clothes or rot.
Turn the air on to high; shave your hair; let it fly.
Lock the door; lie there nude no amour; just light food
Pray for rain; read Mark Twain.

Gluteus Glutens Reading Twain in the bed might explain crumbs of bread
on the sheet which may cause a complete need to pause
and dog-ear what you read while you clear crust and seed
that now seeks both your cheeks.

Bathing in Public
Both my cheeks still are white; no one seeks them in sight.
Work without socks or shirt; no stake-out to divert
me to change how I dress; won't arrange to impress

In Nam none cared, no qualm was shared;
I’ve laved while nude and shaved. Shampooed,
then used Spring rains; suffused soap stains.

Reminisce Sense
Miss surrey that was fringed; no hurry that unhinged
drivers now on the street. You could bow, be discrete
on your trips around town. Finger flips would go down
and effects of bad wrecks.
