Hi Alan  knight.gif

QUOTE
from the species

Gracious Galtonius ...

Er, no. At the photo shoot I'm sure I heard the photographer saying.
"This one will go worldwide, a very rare breed."

Afterwards, when I had changed into my ordinary clothes (purple and yellow polka dot dungarees, worn with a rainbow striped jumper and doc martens,) I saw the proofs on his desk; there was a caption beneath the picture.

The Great-crested Lesser Spotted Loon.

Fame at last!

Hello peeps!

I'm afraid I haven't been around here much since our last meet, but if you don't mind that, I'd love to meet you all again and Reading will be easy for me to get to. However, I will have to arrange something to keep the kids occupied while I swan off to see you all. I'm also awkward in that there are lots of dates I definitely won't be able to make ie, 26/8-3/9, 10/9 and 17/9 - 18/9. I know I'll find it difficult over the holidays anyway so don't make any arrangements especially for me because there's always the chance I won't be able to make it after all, but it was very nice to be invited. Thanks Nina!

Hi Esther,

Good to see you. What are you doing these days?

I don't know how the dates will pan out (still trying to sort my hols out too) but we'd certainly be delighted to see you. Hope you can make it!

James.

Hi Esther

Good to see you popping in here again.  I have added you to the spreadsheet now and we will try and arrange it so that you can come.  It actually looks most likely to be a date in September possibly 5th, 8th, 9th, or the following week, so schools will be back then.

James - the purple  is ready and waiting to fill in your unavailable dates, as soon as you are sorted out.

Nina

Hi All

Trying to find a mutually agreeable date is proving quite difficult because it is  the summer holidays and everyone going away at different times.

Can everyone make Friday 16 September?  Please let me know.

Thanks

Nina

Hi Nina,

I meant to PM you yesterday ... my husband has just been booked for a conference from 12th to 16th Sept  :(

So I doubt I can make it that week. Sad2.gif

However, please do go ahead if that is the best possible date for everyone else: I was lucky enough to meet several of you at the last meeting, and no doubt there will be more in the future.  cheer.gif

Hi James,

Just noticed this..

QUOTE
Besides, I rather fancy the blond wig for myself. (If we're dressing-up, I have to join-in).

Be careful there, James ~ those gorgeous dogs of yours might take you for a slim, elegant afghan hound.  Speechless.gif

Hmm, On second thoughts, perhaps not! LOL.gif

Now, please don't be late - I don't want to be standing around.

No, I shouldn't think you would ~ not in that wig!

Nina, When James says a 'field report' you must realise that he really does live so far from civilisation that they do not have indoor facilities. Reindeer.gif

So Sept 23rd it it? Looking forward to seeing everyone. Hope as many as possible can make it, then Alan might not notice if he gets 'M'wahd', hehe.

I now have an interesting vision of James in a Monroe wig and welly boots ... thanks Grace. I thought James prefered undressing to dressing up?  Shock

Think I've had a touch too much sun today  sun.gif
