o sez ol' Scrooge Bah! Humbug! Never wish me a Merry Christmas! until Tiny Tim touched the very strings of his heart and changed him from the inside out showing him the meaning of Christ's birth. o

birth will add some color in a few weeks when the baby eats pureed vegetables containing dyes and flavors and a few will stain white diapers the exact shade of Daniel's Nonet. p.s. - Not the content of the post; that was nice but I had to mouse-over in order to read it.

ver. just might designate verse or versus but it’s difficult to ascertain which one unless it’s used in context and when used to begin nonets one must utilize innovation

shun questions; you won't know if you don't ask, so stay ignorant by not posing any; besides, it takes too much work and thought to come up with the words with which you'd ask something that makes sense.

sense given to people comes in all types; good, bad and common which is or is not used depending on the person and the lessons learned from the past; ignorance proves one can’t remember

burr in rear remembered somewhat too late when he had slid down the long cedar tree trunk that caused last year's episode; a lesson learned does not always carry over for folks who forget.

get a string and tie it on your finger so when it turns blue it helps you remember why it’s there in the first place; for those who forgot the reason at least get a knife and cut the string.

string them out for as long as you're able before you tell them cuz they're on edge to know why in the world you're wearing that pink thing around your finger... soon enough they'll find out you don't know!

now it’s black and swollen and very cold when you finally remember why the string is tied around your finger, you were supposed to go purchase a pair of gloves when your hands got cold.

cold weather comes whether or not you've tied knots on your fingers so simply wear what gloves you've lying around your house or that you've stuck in your old truck because you'd forget to bring them out

out of gloves that once fit but were outgrown so fingers were cut to look cool on your bike but if you should get frostbite they may amputate your fingers and then the cool gloves will fit once more.

it must be a required camping dessert and it matters not how messy it can get because you're sitting in dirt around a hot smoking campfire where flames lick logs and you lick your hands I was going to end it with "fingers" but didn't want to do that to you.

Daniel, if your last post was personal, this is for you. claws will scare the grandchildren every day of the year except for one very special and that day will be on Christmas morning when one big Claus brings the presents and two claws hand them out while pain is washed away for a moment by joy

Thank you for the wonderful sentiments, Larry... and it was interesting how in the third line your nonet morphed into a nonictameter! joy will come on mornings when the swelling becomes less painful cuz the weather is warm and you are more free to flex those fingers with relative ease so you flip yourself in the mirror

Hi Daniel,
Don't know what a "nonictameter" is and neither does the internet or my World Book.
Just got carried away and didn't realize how badly I screwed up the Nonet.

Actually, Larry, there was no such thing; I believe you created the first one. Not sure that it ought to be reproduced, however. Whatcha think? roar softly in nonets so that the world cannot hear a word just as we have practiced and keep your Rictameters changing two syllables each line not this thread's one-syllable genre

The joke is on me. I deserve it for such a lousy Nonet. Heck, it didn’t even conform with the parameters of a Rictameter. Not only should it never be reproduced but that one should be given a decent burial out back somewhere.
John and Ray need shovels to dig a hole and get rid of this silly bull non-nonet for it is surely quite dead by any death’s rictus meter and mark it so; much to my chagrin.
