Income pleat is the crease I’ve observed
in what monies I thought were reserved
for my food, gas and life.
Now inflation is rife!
Biden’s world makes me poor and unnerved

unnerved, I am poorer than dirt
but if you need it, I'd give the shirt
off my back for your own
and I'd certainly loan
you a ten-spot if it didn't hurt

[Larry]

A ten-spot wouldn’t help; wouldn’t hurt
when I’m so close to losing my shirt.
Savings down to the dregs,
can’t afford milk and eggs
and with poverty, I daily flirt.

You are flirting with Poverty now?
Isn't she that old street-walker cow?
Hope that you're not so needy
you resort to the seedy
doing anything time will allow!

[Larry]

Time allows we can do anything
when we segue from winter to spring.
Would that life followed suit
so this crusty old coot
could relive all the years that would bring.

If this coot could live years back to spring
it would probably be from Ginseng
drinking cups of that stuff
may perhaps be enough
to give blood-flow a little upswing

[Larry]

If your blood’s on the upswing, you might
be in for one big heck-of-a-fight.
When the meds which you take
do not give hearts a break
you could be walking into the light!

Yes, I soon could walk into the Light
and I won't put up much of a fight
'cause I'm ready to go
but until then I'll show
that I'm glad to walk Earth in His sight

If you’re walking the Earth in His sight
from your birth, you may be in a fight
with the evils you meet
but if faith is complete
then their power will seem rather trite.

If your power seems trite to your friends
just remind them you don't wear Depends
as they do for keeping
their undies from seeping
and you also do not get the bends.

If you’re getting the bends when you dive
here’s a hint to help you stay alive.
Your ascent can’t be fast
or you’re going to be gassed
and St. Peter knows when you arrive.

Peter never would tell me to dive
'cause I never would come up alive.
It's a fact I can't swim.
They'd be singing a hymn
that hopefully I would survive.

“There’s no one who survives without hope”
is a fact when you’re learning to cope
with your troubles in life
for the stain of that strife
won’t wash off with some water and soap.

If you're washing with water and soap
but the water is cold, you're a dope
'cause the soap will not melt
and you'll chafe 'neath your belt
and you soon won't be able to cope.

[Larry]

If you’re losing it and you can’t cope
with the slipperiness of your soap
in the shower each time
you are washing off grime
I’d suggest buying it on a rope.

[JustDaniel]

If you shower at the end of a rope
in a noose it's hard even to grope
for the shower to turn off
and you hardly can cough.
I had warned, "Never buy that rope-soap!"

Soap that rope is a warning to you.
That is what rodeo riders do
so the lasso will slide
and won’t hurt the cow’s hide.
All the winners will tell you it’s true.

Winners always will tell you it's true:
it's from studying their spelling grew
to their champion skill
and they never would kill
all their learning by wading in poo.

If you’re wading in poo you’ll soon learn
that it’s smell makes your nose and eyes burn
but if spread in the fields
you will double your yields
for a profit that no one would spurn.

If you profit from selling your sperm
best be careful to hide where your germ
had come from, lest you
new offspring construe.
