Though he misread the base coach's twitch
he arrived at third base with no hitch
and kept going until he would score
without sliding, and their catcher swore
that the runner's a son of some neighborhood dog.

That the runner’s the son of some dog
may be true but he’s only a cog
in a money machine
where they pay lots of green;
the amounts always leave me agog.

If his salary leaves you agog
just remember that he came from Prague
where he learned well to Czech
hockey players like heck;
they all left games as sick as a dog.

[Larry]

As they left the dog games, they were sick
of each failure to go get a stick
because as you all know
when the trainers would throw
and say fetch, all the dogs had to lick.

If the dog has to lick what you throw
please be careful of what you heave-ho;
you could make the pooch sick
till he's dead as a brick
if it's icky or poison, ya know?

You will know if it’s poisonous ick
when ingestion has made you real sick
for in preparation
you must know how it’s done;
sashimi without liver’s the trick,

When I prepped it were you there to see me?
Thought I'd thin-sliced the liver

Wine from the Simi valley is great
but imbibers seldom drink it straight,
mixing it with some juice
that is colored chartreuse
leaving them with a light greenish trait.

If you like drinking stuff that is green,
try a Mickey D's Shamrock Shake, Bean!
It is better than kale,
and your health will prevail
if you walk home the distance between.

If you walk home the distance between
local pubs after drinking some green
Irish brews which were dyed
for St. Pats then your stride
has declined a wee bit if you lean.

If you lean o'er a bit you can wee
'neath the stretch of the limbs of a tree
so that no one can watch,
though you will leave a blotch
on the grass for your friends' repartee.

For your friends repartee on the grass
I’d assume their wordplay wouldn’t pass
being brought in the house
where ones innocent spouse
might consider their banter quite crass.

If she thinks that their banter is crass
she me send someone out on his ass
on which he'll ride away
early on in the day
leaving time for his fishing for bass.

[Larry]

Leaving time for his fishing for bass
is too early for some sleeping lass
even though she’s invited
she’s not too excited
repeating each time, I’ll just pass.

If you pass on repeating each time
you are asked to repost your last rhyme
then the public won't know
you have verses to show
and your ego is simply a crime.

[Larry]

It’s a crime if your simple ego
blocks the mind from the things you don’t know
until your learning curve
angles down; you deserve
the surprises in life fate will throw.

Fate throws many surprises in life.
Don't believe that? Well, look at your wife.
Do you think you deserve
such a lady? Reserve
a Yes answer in mud, or face strife.

[Larry]

To save strife in the mud, answer yes
to your wife at the spa. She will bless
you with her youthful skin
and just might let you in
to her bed. If you don’t, it’s a mess.

If you mess in her bed, you'd best clean
everything e'er she sees, and I mean
every stain and the stink
or as quick as a wink
you'll be out on your tail or your bean.

[Larry]

You’ll be out of your bean if you tell
all of your drinking friends that you fell
down the stairs coming in
when she asked, “Where you been?”,
even though she knew where by the smell.
