When you join in the shopping brigade
for the holiday sales be afraid
for the gentlest sex
turns into a T-rex
and at home, you will wish you had stayed.

It's at home that I've learned I should stay
and just order online; I don't pay
for the shipping most times
since they're Amazon Primes,
plus I'm saving on gas anyway.

[Larry]

If you’re saving on gas, that’s a plus
for you don’t have to shop where there’s fuss
and on-line there’s no tax
on most sites but the facts
that’s the thing IRS will discuss.

[JustDaniel]

With the IRS we haven't fussed;
in New Jersey, we're taxed, and it's just.
Since we live here we get
public service; forget
that with some things we still have disgust.

[Larry]

There’s something that’s discussed which we have
for words spew from our minds like a valve
and though some may abash
it’s not like there’s a rash
which we’d treat with emollient salve.

[JustDaniel]

Would emollient salve be a treat
that a guy with dry humor might eat?
Might it moisten his wit?
Make his joking more fit
so the audience won't leave their seats?

[Larry]

So the audience won’t leave their seat
waiting there for someone to compete
in the challenges set?
We are not there quite yet;
stick around and we’ll give you a treat.

Who would treat us to challenges here?
That suggestion sounds strangely most queer
from a gentleman who
likes to visit the zoo
where the lions can't eat on the deer.

[Larry]

When the lions can’t eat on the deer
for that creature is found nowhere near
to the places they roam;
food is found close to home
antelope means they must get in gear.

In the zoo they are close to the deer
'cause they wander about without fear
right outside of the zoo.
Did your aunt elope, who
thought that you should be thinking much freer?

So you’re thinking my thoughts should be free
about where deer and lions should be;
well with one behind bars
and one run down by cars
does not speak well of humanity.

Who has spoken of late well of men
who destroy everything that they can
just to have power or money?
Do you think that it's funny
that human 's a poor specimen?

[Larry]

Yes, that human’s a poor specimen
wanting to fill the cup that you’re in
but if power were mine
like that in the Devine
I might know how to stop and begin.

Were you stripping the grapes off their vine
or remembering Andy Devine?
His strange voice wasn't round
or divine or resound
with a resonance like yours and mine.

[Larry]

With a resonance like mine and yours,
there is no cobweb here that endures
for the spiders who crawl
on the ceiling and wall
of each forum strengthens and inures.

If our singing to folks here inures
folks to our face, who's spitting in yours?
Did a wad hit your eye?
Were you playing, "I spy"?
Folks should know such behavior injures!

[Larry]

Folks should know such behavior is yours
for you take them all on mental tours
with strange words in their heads;
they’re awake in their beds
but the nightmare persists and endures.

So my words are nightmarish, you say?
Well, at least they bring dreams in some way!
Better they interrupt
sleep, but never abduct
folks and toss their remains in the bay!

[Larry]

Folks whose toss-up remains in the bay
must have eaten too much on that day
but the waves rolling in
will dilute it and then
all the scavenger fish come to play.

[JustDaniel]

When the scavenger fish come to play
you discover you'd best stay away
lest they nibble on you
when you tell them to shoo
and you see that they never obey.
