Limerick, Poetic Form Exercise Options

If he tries anything with his shin
I shall kick him there, just to begin
with the beating he needs
for his sowing of seeds
where unwanted... and there'll be a din.

Where there will be an unwanted din
from a crowd that is gathered within
a small room for some beers
and they're cheers hurt your ears;
muffle with cotton balls and just grin.

[JustDaniel]

If you buffer your balls and just grin
when they're kicked it will cause some chagrin;
you will want to kick back
and begin an attack
but the guy with the foot is your twin.

[Larry]

Butt the guy with a foot in between
your two legs. All you do is just lean
down your head and take aim;
not to kill, only maim
then move fast he'll regurgitate green.

[JustDaniel]

After fasting, you'll throw up your greens
so don't start back with salad and beans;
drinking liquids at first
with occasional bursts
of your lettuce and meat that is lean.

[Larry]

Let us add our lean meat to the grill
and when ready, you can eat your fill
of some good barbeque
or you can fix a shoe
if you don't marinate and then seal.

Why would you marinate a thin seal?
There is much better fish you could reel.
Try out salmon or trout;
that's what eating's about.
Maybe you could get bass in your creel.

[Larry]

Maybe you could get creoles a bass
but I think it would look out of place
with their spoons and washboards
and accordion chords
you would have to be quick to keep pace.

[JustDaniel]

When your pace doesn't seem quick enough
just relax; there's no need to be gruff.
As your age moves along
you won't be quite as strong,
but it doesn't mean you're not tough.

[Larry]

If you're docile you're not tough and mean
and your first thought is "don't make a scene"
so you watch where you go
living incognito
then perhaps you'd go dressed as a queen.

[JustDaniel]

For the ones who have dressed as a queen
the PC's say there's difference between
one who's gay and a tranny.
Don't costume as a granny;
leave closet and tell where you've been.

[Larry]

If you've been in the closet and leave
telling friends you'll no longer deceive
and you'd like to confess
you feel good in a dress
or a skirt and blouse without a sleeve.

Your blue shirt lost a sleeve in a fight
that you had at a restaurant last night?
Had you skipped eating lunch?
Did you throw the first punch?
Maybe next time you'll eat out of sight.

[Larry]

If you eat by yourself the next time
you will not be the cause of a crime;
misdemeanors and such
won't effect you too much
and your lunch all alone is sublime.

[JustDaniel]

Top your lunch off with slices of lime
and enjoy the noon act by a mime
who is great with his hands
and he makes no demands
except leaving a poem or rhyme.

Sorry Daniel,
I had two lines of thought so I wrote two answers. Hope you don't mind.

Leave a poem or rhyme and accept
that into a small bonfire you have leapt
we’ll warm more than your heart
and that is just a start
for real soon, you will feel that you’re kept.




Leaving poems that rhyme I’ll accept
but this new age of writing has crept
into every nook;
it’s like reading a book
and in frustrated rage, I have wept.

If you feel like they've kept you till noon,
in a frustrated rage, the festoon
you could kick 'cross the floor
as you move to the door
yelling out that you won't be back soon.

You'll be yelling out soon that your back
is still sore. Chiropractor's a hack
and each bend, pull and pop
in his horrible shop
seems as though he put me on the rack.

If you're racking your brain to get tough
you will find that it's never enough
just to think on the matter;
step up and be batter
and you'll hit home runs when it's rough.

It's not rough when you hit a home run
'cause you jog the base path and it's fun
but a single, when hit
means that you have to git
to first base. The shortstop has a gun.
