It's not that this is a totally serious piece... though of course all experimentation and working with any form is serious business. PLAY produces many a gem of poetry, at least as by-product.
Think of the worn-out house as a human body. Think of the roof as the brain. Think of the body's outlet, in at least two senses, seeking some kind of relief... and you'll have the third 'meaning'. Be careful, however, not to leave your(self) min(e)d in the gutter.
Of course the other two are the worn outhouse and the worn-out house. Also think of the downspout DISMISSING the roof's need for relief... or for that matter, just missing ? Ever done that?
