Though our lives are very humble, who would ever suppose
you're home with your boy friend,  who smells like a rose.
You've been a perfect beast, now you cannot ever be,
the master of the house, a good partner for me.

I've given you sunshine, what did you give me?
Your hair in the moonlight, a wig, plain to see.
There is nothing like a hairpiece for warming your head,
and when I say romance, you run home instead.

Wouldn’t it be lovely, a pleasure divine ;
Now I can but ponder, this nearly was mine.
My heart, forever, is broken in two
(Don't reveal my indiscretion, whatever you do.)

I’m confused and upset and my love life is done
But I feel so much better, dear, now that you’re gone.

Nearly a sonnet.  laugh.gif

I like it, because I think I've sung that song many times in the past.  Though I seldom listen to country anymore there was a song by Roy Clark that said the same thing "Thank God And Greyhound She's Gone" LOL.  I like the melody this produced in my head, but like I said I have sung that tune a lot in the past.  Love was Like  :wall: until I met Heidi now I am on  :cloud9:   iblieve

Dear Tom

Not quite the worst, that closed after 1 day !

Among the very few words NOT prescribed in your good effort, there is one blooper :

Wouldn’t it be lovely, a pleasure divine ;
But I can but ponder, this nearly was mine. - but but but but but but .....
My heart, forever, is broken in two
(Don't reveal my indiscretion, whatever you do.)

I will of course, as you ask, be discrete and not mention what it actualy is !

Love
Alan

Zeus Man
Visiting Theater Critic

As a new first nighter to this brand new musical, I sat with intrepidation wondering if the new musical wonder boy on the scene could really pull it off.I must say in all humility, that he did so, a great first effort. There were a few rocky points within the show, but some of my esteemed fellow critic collegues were  kind enough to point them out.
"This nearly was a sonnet" is well worth attending.

Guys, I don't know what the visiting public would think of this.

It's more like a French Farce. MusicBand.gif

As they say on Broadway  JackBox.gif

It'll be allright on the night. Jester.gif
