Greet the dawn with joy and pleasure.
Each new day will bring delight.
Life's a gift beyond our measure,
Treasure ev'ry day and night.

Smile and whistle and make merry,
all is under our control.
Heaven bids we must be wary;
mind our conduct, bless our soul.

Our forgiving goes with living,
He has given us to see.
Now is time to give Thanksgiving!
We, who're blessed, will all agree.

Hello J~

This is so lovely and stuffed with spirit and extra helpings of inspiration.

I truly love your sentiment and will post a "Thanksgiving" poem I wrote a couple of years ago as I think you may understand my intent.

Look for it soon. :)

Thanks for opening our eyes and hopefully hearts as well!

Blessings~
Lindi

Good morning Ron,  :sun:

For obvious reasons, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here LOL.gif

This is a delight, bright and bubbly and cheerful, and I could imagine all young schoolchildren standing in assembly happy shouting out the words to this uplifting piece.

Very well expressed thoughts of an undoubted kind heart.

Love

In light of the religious connotation
S2,L2: "...Your control." for "...our control."??

I like alliteration of forgiving, living, and Thanksgiving.

Is "will" necessary in last line?

An excellent grace in verse to lower our eyes and lift our minds toward Heavenly gifts.
