[Larry]

If I shoot in a group and just one
of the flock falls to earth then my gun
needs a much better choke;
I don’t want to go broke
‘cause I can’t go duck hunting for fun.

I have always ducked hunting for fun
I could have done things without guns.
I can spend the weekends
playing football with friends
while some other guys stay with their hons.

[Larry]

Some guys stay with their honeys a while
but a few think their marriage a trial
and the vows which they made
are now tattered and frayed;
they may walk into Hell single file.

[Larry]

They may walk into Hell single file
to be punished right after the trial
for their earthly misdeeds
but the righteous succeeds
looking down from above with a smile.

[Larry]

Looking down from above with a smile,
the Lord sees how we handle each trial
that we face in this life;
be it sorrow or strife.
It’s all there in your personnel file!

[Larry]

If it’s all in your personal file
that you use when you primp and you style
fingernails, I would bet
that the paint was still wet
and the cleaning will take you a while.

If the cleaning will take you a while
I would ask that you do it with style;
use a good mop and broom
when you clean every room
and you’ll always end up with a smile.

If you always end up with a smile
that could mean you’ve been at it a while;
whether it’s expertise
or someone you might please
it’s a fact you must finish with style.

[Larry]

It’s a fact you must finish with style
anything that you start that’s worthwhile
for to waste all that time
is considered a crime
even if your results aren’t on trial.

[Larry]

Even if your results aren’t on trial
in a marathon, mile after mile;
if you want to complete
every one, you’ll compete
until you cross that line in a pile.

[Larry]

If the pile which you cross is a line
of old bones tied together with twine,
I don’t know but it might
be a burial site
for some tribe that may want you supine.

If a cannibal wants you supine
I've a feeling he's ready to dine
so you'd better get up
or it's you he will sup
on; you'd better swing off on some vine.

[Larry]

Swing on vines and you’d be better off
finding games you can play but not golf
for the rough’s always there
and the fairway’s not fair
lined with onlookers ready to scoff.

If the onlookers scoff at your swings
then you may as well give them some dings
on their smart-aleck heads;
you will give them the dreads
when you show up with your brand-new Pings.

[Larry]

With your brand new Ping up you can show
that you’re willing to spend lots of dough
to become a big star
in the golf game but par
is a number you can’t get below.

I'd be lucky if I could reach par
'cause the holes are out there way too far
for my poor knees to aid
with my swing. No one's paid
for a substitute with a cigar.

[Larry]

With a cigar there’s no substitute
for a smoker who’d never refute
that a nice Cuban roll
and a leisurely stroll
frightens gals whom you think are real cute.

If you frighten a cute little girl
you may give local jail cot a curl
'cause her cute little scream
may be your most-feared dream
when the local cop's nightstick's awhirl.

[Larry]

If the local cop’s nightstick was whirled
every time he saw her and lips curled
in a smile, his poor strap
would most probably snap
when he thought that she could rock his world.

[JustDaniel]

She's tried rocking his world with her smile
but the poor cop is turning senile.
He cannot get it up
even when she's close-up.
Now the whole situation is vile.
