That you had such a conversation with a friend speaks highly of your convictions. You've written well, answered some questions, asked some others. This write is very provocative, as it deals with core values. I'm so happy to see someone write with such openess. I don't believe one reading of this piece does it justice. You have great insight and a gift of piqueing the readers interest. I like your attention to your titles for your poems too. Ponderous, Pondering, Wanderings... suits this one nicely. ······· ······· Values are to integrity as spirit to spirituality ... the one is needed that the other is sustained ~ Sam

This is a very strong poem and definitely points to the rawness of reality and mortality. I love how you leave the reader pondering and strike a vulnerable cord in making us reflect on our lives and immanent deaths. (and it rhymes too) Great job!
