If you're telling the truth "through your nose"
you will sound like Bob Dylan! Who knows?
You could sell all your tunes
to raisins and prunes
like me... and your bottom line grows!

[Larry]

Bottoms grow if you're lying like me
about diets that work, you will see
that all food groups on earth
merely add to the girth
of your posterior's panoply.

[JustDaniel]

If your backside will pan every plea
for your cutting back, as you can see
it will keep pushing out;
I agree, without doubt,
before long you'll be looking like me!

[Larry]

If you like me, before long you'll look
at me as a familiar old book
but as time passes by
I'll become dim of eye,
wrinkled, gray with a nose like a hook.

[JustDaniel]

With that grey, wrinkled hook of a nose
you can still breathe while finding repose
in your yard or in bed;
would you rather, in stead
lie in permanent, comatose doze?

[Larry]

Is a comatose daze permanent
or do you still have time to repent
of the dreams which arise
before you feed the flies?
Have you lived a long life that's well spent?

[JustDaniel]

Have you spent a long life doing naught
storing up everything that you bought
with the money you earned?
Will you never have learned
that your death leaves behind the whole lot?

[Larry]

Lots for death leave behinds in a hole
even those who are not on the dole
so cremation's the way
to avoid all that pay;
lay in state in a nice covered bowl.

[JustDaniel]

If you're lying inside of a bowl
pray the bathroom is not where your soul
will be flushed to its end
to flow way 'round the bend
to the sewer, your ultimate goal.

[Larry]

To a sewer the ultimate goal
is to take simple cloth from a roll
and create with some style
a new garment worthwhile
which the wearer is bound to extoll

[JustDaniel]

Our ex-toll-roads go weaving along
through the forests and mountains; a song
will be sung 'cause it's free
to drive there with no fee
or toll-takers to make it feel wrong.

[Larry]

To make takers feel wrong is a toll
on the givers whose models are role
so it's my Christmas wish
that they get a dead fish
in their stocking with one lump of coal.

[JustDaniel]

If your stocking is lumpy with fish
you could use it to make a great dish
for his Thanksgiving meal;
it could be a great great deal
to let Santa eat something you wish.

[Larry]

To let Santa wash something to eat
is not something you want to repeat
for he has enough work
and he'll think you're a jerk;
so your stockings are filled by your feet.

[JustDaniel]

If your foot doesn't fill out your stocking
is it incomprehensibly shocking?
What you hang on your mantle
must be more than ample
for the presents you will be unlocking!

[Larry]

If your present is one that unlocks
then it probably won't fit in a box
or go under the tree.
Can you get one for me
because I'm tired of neckties and socks?

[JustDaniel]

So, of neckties and socks you are tired?
Tell your clothier and cobbler they're fired;
go around naked-foot
and in your birthday suit.
Be the nature-boy 'til you have sired.

[Larry]

A boy sired out in nature may be
from the sixties when loving was free
but his head is now grey
and he'd much rather lay
by the fireplace with cold wine and brie

[JustDaniel]

at cold fireplace he whines, what will be...
but if he would just rise to his knee
and Kindle the wood
his Amazon could
give him something to read; try and see

[Larry]

Give a try and read something to him.
Go ahead; pick a book on a whim.
Sit on his little bed
until that sleepy head
starts to dream and his thoughts learn to swim.
