On The Mountain
This craggy faced mountain propelled up from the millennia, striped with dark layers, bold cliffs obscured history, locked in place. Impregnated with fossils, remnants of lost life yielding up ancient thoughts, still… so dormant it stands. Paleo clues, hidden bone fragments a few small creatures, inhabit now clouds almost touching my fingertips misting ever so lightly. Climbed this peak exploring, hoping, curious : Holding… an empty hourglass, looking for the sand of time. |

Hi Larry,
What a powerful tale of a mountain. I love the idea of it being propelled up thru the millenia (like the Andes or Himalayas - growing as the tectonic plates squish together - note scientific terminology: 'squish') and the clouds so close. A wonderful mix of history and natural history. And no back-pack required. Thanks for the journey. :pharoah2 Fran |
