Daniel's Therapy by Poetry Tile, Can poetry help people? Options

Hi all,

I've moved this debate out of my own poem's section because it seemed independent ("off topic," if you care for that phrase) and also because it has elicited a strong response, so needs a fair airing.

It was started by Daniel. I cannot move individual entries across and preserve the posters - so each entry will have my name against it. Nevertheless, I have put the real poster's name above that.

Please continue to respond here - I'm sure Daniel would appreciate the feed-back.

All posts on this topic have now been moved - further responses would be appreciated, I'm sure.

I'm very sorry to have given difficulty in this, folks.  I certainly offered no debate... I merely moaned out my pain in the decision of my agency's Clinical Director.  She interprets passages in APA's and ACA's ethical standards to indicate that my utilizing my own poetry in the program that I work in is a violation of ethical standards.  Her interpretation of that is final.  I have no appeal.

I came home devastated and still don't know (though I've changed my declared plans, and am planning to go to work today) whether I will be able to fulfill my duties today at work.

Thank you for your concerns... and I'm sorry I occasioned a twist off the subject (though I do believe I posted my crit somewhere along the way).
