Hi James,
I was definitely missing the intention. Your prose brings it home viciously - made me feel queasy reading that. Thanks... However, I didn't see that in the poem. This may well be showing my lack of experience - perhaps others who know more about poetry and have known you longer may see more clearly. Else I am inclined to wonder if it is just a little too pared down ... wait and see what else is said. As an aside, if the pheasants too over the world, they'd start by hunting down mankind for sport, but they'd no doubt end up just as bad (Animal Farm). Regards, :dragon: Fran |
