Thank you most kindly Dear Lady, and yes, I've been one lucky man. I added some details of our courtship - if that is the right word? - in a reply to a comment (Larry's or yours? - not sure which).
I'm hoping to find more time for composing over the next few days, but much depends on Mother Nature and her temper. At present it seems we're in for a slightly milder spell, with fewer heavy snowfalls. That suits me well, although I do enjoy the exercise moving the white stuff gives me!
Before I can do much of what I hope to do, I have the much needed task of sorting out one of my computers. A power outage and a worn out UPS did a little sabotage, and I have yet to discover what ails the dratted machine. In the meantime, I am struggling along with one of my back-ups - I have four altogether, each of which normally stays focussed on a defined task. It makes life a lot easier for me, as I don't have to keep looking for various programmes I use. Just plain laziness perhaps? Lol!
I even managed to load one with Windows 10, but I need more practice before I do much on that! Not exactly enamoured of the OS, and never understand why they ever engineered it? More money in the coffers most likely!
As for our children? Three all live many miles distant. Two - eldest son and daughter - live in Vancouver and we're not likely to see much of them. The third, our second son, lives about 100 miles west, but is now a proud Grandfather and his children live much closer. Actually, we prefer to enjoy Christmas at home, phoning family and friends all around the world! It's been a long followed tradition, moreover, it saves my wife a lot of cooking. We enjoy a simple meal and follow a simple life style. My preference, as is my dear wife's, is to take it easy, and relax looking at our personal videos - all digitalised, and reminiscing on times past!
On the off-chance you get to see this, and find time to browse the various offerings on MM, I'll wish you and yours Very Merry Christmas, and Wish you Good Fortune in the New Year Fondest regards. Ciao Pauline and Denis.
