Lizard King
I am the lizard king, hot-house jungle terror. My tread shakes the sands sends shivers through the leaves. I am cousin to Komodo and Gila, though thy are called dragons. But I am better than they, as in Chinese myths and tales I can fly. My claws sharper than those told of in tales of knighthood. I am the final fruit, combination of centuries of genes, from the greatest creatures to ever roam the land, I have been spawned! Oh, look Henry, first Robin of spring. Oct 1, 2010 © Steve Pray |
