From a earlier challenge at other site.

The Oscar

It happened one night,
in a lonely place,
even the godfather couldn’t control it
it was like we were
strangers on a train.

You had said
wait until dark,
it would feel like
the day the earth stood still
be like our field of dreams.

so, there we were,
could faintly hear
the sound of music
this was to be
the secret of my success.

In the heat of the night,
there could be
no trouble in paradise,
some like it hot,
with you certainly
no shadow of a doubt.

I can truthfully say,
you have the right stuff,
you performed  with
courage under fire,
almost like,
singing in the rain.

You are truly,
my fair lady,
with a beautiful mind,
remind me so much
of the treasure of the sierra madre,
Oh’
it’s a wonderful life.

Our love will never be,
gone with the wind,
you choose to,
stand by me,
as it happened in
on golden pond.

Some might say, in our lives,
a river runs through it,
others,
a nightmare on elm street,
no,
all the president’s men,
cannot separate us.

When we were Kings,
and Queens,
and like some …
grouchy old men
and women,
our love was proved,
we lived, we loved.

And then there were none.
