My fingers curl around a pen,
yet their motion is stilled. My thoughts quiver like a wilted bloom, shaken, yet unable to spill upon any crumpled canvas. Through myriad lands my visions roam, yet as my pen stills to inscribe my fingers go numb, and I succumb to a fear of birthing sweet nothings. ·······  ·······Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Hi Dani,
I understand how you feel and I suspect this is part and parcel of bigger problems. However, Nina is right. Try to find ways to escape into writing; it will help you, I do believe. Good luck Dani and please DO keep trying various ways. James. |

Thank you for the encouragement and I think I'll give FLASH a go. :) I miss being the writer I was... I used to be so active and made quite a lot of sense in my work. LOL! Well there's still hope for that. Sweet Fran, All writers go through this and it feels great being able to express it well. :) James, you know me so well... I used to have some inner strength that somehow I just can't seem to tap into these days and this has made me flounder helplessly... My passion is writing, and I need to focus on that more than anything else. Problems will always be there and I will not lose myself because of them. Thank you James for being you. Hi Dani
That inner strength is still there. It has helped you cope with life so far and reading this poem, you still express yourself so beautifully. It is not always easy to find inspiration but I usually find that triggers like Pandora's Challenge and the 10 word snippets are a very helpful starting point and I'm looking forward to the Flash. Maybe then you can work through the layers and free your inner strength. Hugs Nina |
