Spring loosens moist earth,

letting the sharpened leaf spears

stab the infant Sun

Spring loosens moist earth,

letting the sharpened leaf spears

stab the infant Sun

Very imaginative nature story. Has a biblical, Moses, ring about the Bullrushes (son).

I notice there are a few spears involved. Should the title be Assassins
