Some holiday shoppers inspired me to write this poem after I witnessed them fighting over Christmas sale items. The scared looks on their children's faces lead me to wonder if they knew the true meaning of gift giving.
Christmas Everyday
Don’t save all your love for Christmas give someone a gift, just because. Tell your neighbors that you care let your friends know that you’re there.
Holidays are great, but life goes on be kind to all people, you’ll feel like you’ve won. How many people are praying for a friend? Are they so lonely, they want their life to end?
Find your way to those in need show the hopeless how to believe. Smile and lend a helping hand you’ll be the leader of a marching band.
Tell a stranger they look nice gifts can come in the tiniest size. Reach out to someone who’s alone Cheer them with a meal you take to their home.
Feed the homeless, tell them you care come on, put some magic in the air. Pass out blankets, clothes and faith give of yourself, you’ll feel so great.
Sponsor some children who are poor help make memories they’ll adore. Teach them to feel proud, be sure of themselves this will bring you more than material wealth.
Thank your neighbor for all he does do a favor for someone, just because. Spend time with an older person who’s alone listen to their great stories of days long gone.
Be thankful for each and every day your open heart will guide your way. If everyone tries to lend a hand peace may flow over this treasured land.
Lets put love back into the air join hands around the world, show we care. No time for hate, just time for love isn’t this the message we all get from above?
Find a family who can’t afford Christmas this year be their Santa, send them gifts and some cheer. The children will learn to believe again all this giving will let your heart win.
Find your way, to give what you can no money has to involve a helping hand. Your last years coat, give your used shoes these are items some people could use.
Breathe in the spirit of Christmas day keep it inside, make it your way. If each woman and man give of themselves we would all be full of endless wealth.
Merry Christmas everyone, Angie
