Welcome to the land of Doogwyn, where fairies, elves, sprites and dragons come together to celebrate the year's end.

dragon.gif Year’s End on Doogwyn fairy.gif

Krie glides around the wooded glen
and flits between tall elfin men
in fairy fashion: deftly rides
around the wooded glen, Krie glides.

Diego sails in guarded flight -
Doogwyn’s pretentious, playful sprite.
He yearns to glisten forest trails
in guarded flight. Diego sails.

A sparkling shroud of fairy dust
proliferates when dragon’s gust
consumes the sky with pinkish cloud
of fairy dust - a sparkling shroud!

"I knew you’d come, Daegon my friend!"
"I had to, Krie, to then transcend
the wall of never-ending glum."
"Daegon my friend, I knew you’d come!"

In merriment, they lead the dance
and bid adieu with festive stance
expressing unified content.
They lead the dance in merriment.

As minutes pass, twin moons appear
and glow upon Doogwyn’s frontier
to chants of praise (and bits of sass);
twin moons appear as minutes pass.

Somehow, they form enchanting ties
as each surrenders to ‘goodbyes’.
At ease with resolution’s vow . . .
they form enchanting ties somehow.

Why hello Lindi! wave.gif

Teehee, I brought this one back, made a few slight edits partly because it's Friday and was a long work week and I wanted some smiles and partly because - well - just because. LOL.gif

I am going to put Plato's Pearls back up here in the poetry sub-forums section and open it again for exhibition only. I hope you will post again - I love your poetry! lovie.gif

Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a lovely Swap Quatrain, Lori! magicwink1.png

You sure put a smile on my face. I love sprites and elves doing mischief in the woods and glades.

Ah shucks - thanks Syl! wub.gif

I'm glad you enjoyed this little ditty o' mine. I like to imagine what it might be like to be somewhere like Doogwyn with its animated characters and twin moons. Although, would that mean that high tide and low tide are never ending anomalies? rofl.gif

I really could stand to rewrite bits of this actually - perhaps another day? Thanks so much for visiting! highfive.gif

Cheers,

Why hello Maureen, wave.gif

Thanks so much - this was my 'child' speaking when I wrote this. The 'setting' if you will is most prevalent on my brain at present as its part of the story I'm writing - although the names have been changed. grinning.gif bookworm.gif

I may just have to call the planet 'Doogwyn' now, dragon.gif

Thanks for stopping by!
