Throughout life, many cliches are used, in a manner which often leave us bemused. At times when someone, with an axe to grind, seeks an apt expression, and they find a cliche which, they think most befitting! Blind with rage, spluttering and spitting, they refuse to dance attendance on one who, in a moment of truth, has spun a yarn on minor matters, to greatly offend a friend in need. Then, with fences to mend, it needs the patience of Job, and then some, to weather the storm, it they’re to overcome what was regarded as nothing but minor matters. In a nutshell, with their long friendship in tatters, at one’s wit’s end, their new lease on life deranged! In this year of grace, what was so tastefully arranged, has now become a travesty of sorts! Starry heavens! Having come to grief, seemingly at sixes and sevens, they need a new lease on life. By having what it takes, participants agree true friendship will sell like hot cakes, if apologies made are unconditionally accepted! Was my poem, full of cliches, and some: as you expected?
