Longing to cling to the past.
I randomly add vinyl to my already collection.
Like a drunkard the emphasis
becomes over abundance.
A tableau is nearing:
over extension turns to bewilderment,
becoming the storage issue.
Dust finds prevarication
loitering on record spines.
I am the present,
unflatteringly a hoarder
an embarrassed child in a sweet shop.

Imagination fires the soul, resolution the longing.

Another interesting one from you, Antony.

Longing to cling to the past.
Perhaps 'cling to the past' is a little cliche
I randomly add vinyl to my already collection. Perhaps existing collection?
Like a drunkard the emphasis
becomes over abundance.
A tableau is nearing:
over extension turns to bewilderment,
becoming the storage issue.
Dust finds prevarication
loitering on record spines.
I am the present,
unflatteringly a hoarder
an embarrassed child in a sweet shop.

Yes, I'm a hoarder too, Antony!
Eira

Live one day at a time -it's simpler that way.
Laugh loud & often - it's medicinal.
Write from the heart - it's therapeutic.
Beauty comes from within - the outer is just skin!

Always some interesting piece from you, Antony. Not much to nit. I agree with Eisa's suggestions.

I randomly add vinyl to my already collection.<<<<<Yes, 'existing' or some similar Word would flow nicely.

Quite amusing, really...I also hoard some stuff, but having moved house several times, many things got left behind.
Good read,
Syl

The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

"There is no life higher than the grasstops
Or the hearts of sheep, and the wind
Pours by like destiny, bending
Everything in one direction."

Sylvia Plath, Crossing the Water, Wuthering Heights.
