Seven deadly sins
by codger in Homer's Homilies

If you stretch your imagination you may just find a little analogy between my poem and Mahatma Gandhi’s words of warning…

]ust like the sky without any stars,
Just like a river without any water.
Just like a forest without any trees
Just like a war without any slaughter.

Just like a meadow without any green,
Just like a family without any care.
Just like a sea without any waves,
Just like playtime with no children there.

Just like a mosque without any dome,
Just like a church without any steeple.
Just like a world without any love,
Just like a world without any people.

Seven Deadly Sins--
Mahatma Gandhi considered these traits to be the most spiritually perilous to humanity.

 Wealth without Work
 Pleasure without Conscience
 Science without Humanity
 Knowledge without Character
 Politics without Principle
 Commerce without Morality
 Worship without Sacrifice
