Furry Clock

I have a Furry Clock. Unique? I know it,
but when it wakes me up, I want to throw it.
You don't throw furry clocks with ease,
especially when they're Siamese.
I'd rather have a Feathered Clock to crow it.

This limerick was inspired by my Blue-point Siamese/Blue Manx mix named Bleu-Dini.
Yes, the name is a play on her Houdini-like ability to escape and dissappear at will.

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

LOL.gif Larry!

Sounds like a fun cat, love his name! I used to have a lilac-point siamese named Lucy years ago and she had such a fun personality. I surely miss her and those antics she loved to spring on us! kitty.gif

I've not yet read a limmy that used the same word though? I wonder if you'd consider somehow thorwing in other words, something like hissy-fit perhaps in L2 or maybe sit? And then the repeat of furry clock in L3 - could you perhaps find another phrase there - furry balls or something to match his personality more?

Enjoyed this!

Hey there, Larry,

What a delightful limerick. Funny how when I hear/read that term I instantly think of something a little off color. **G** But I found this most delightful and humorous. Well, done.
