Just for the sake of eliminating some of those contractions, how about:
There is a young girl’s picture
in grandma’s hall…
no one ever knew her.

Sitting demure on a felled oak tree;
afternoon gold shimmering off her hair,
loosened spit curls caressing her cheek ...

Since you refer to a picture, I think past tense may work a tad better for S2, your call as always.

Despite {her} naïveté{,} she looks mischievous;
part naughty scamp, part playful imp.
A hint of laughter from cherried lips,
sparkle of pixie in sapphire eyes ...
