Hi Mysty
A very warm welcome to MM. It is good to see you here and I look forward to interacting with you and reading some of your work. It can take a bit of time to find your way around and if you need any help please don't hesitate to PM (private message) me and I'll be happy to help. No question is too daft.
Cathy is right, this is a fantastic site and I hope you find it so as well. By the way, I love the name Mysty.
Nina

Hi Mysty (if I may call you that?),
A warm welcome from me too.
As Nina has already offered please ask anything you wish. She's right: no question is too daft (I can always ask dafter ones).
MM is a fab site - Lori started it and owns it and is on most (every?) days. Plus there is a strong staff (Cathy included) and excellent membership, so it is dynamic and still evolving. (It celebrates its third birthday next month).
I hope you'll be very happy here and I look forward to meeting you again soon.
Take care,
James.

Hello Mysty and Welcome to MM!
You have a great pen-name!
I hope we can help you with your poetic endeavors as you interact with us. By all means, please share with us any learnings you might have as well.
We are thinking of offering some workshops to discuss designated techniques of poetry and prose as well as critiquing. I'm of the mindset that learning is never complete. I'm like a sponge, always absorbing more!
It's always a sad time when any poetry forum 'goes downhill'. It becomes a second home and when something goes awry, it can really be discouraging if you aren't getting any answers as to the issue. The summer is historically a slow time for many writing sites as the kids are on summer vacation and families tend to be outdoors and traveling much more, I had wondered if that might be a part of the site you mentioned?
I can assure you that here at MM, even when we might be facing a 'slowdown', I am here daily (if not logged in - peeking in from work, LOL) and keep our members informed. I also employ a 'full staff press - discussion process' here on most topics, ideas and suggestions on how to better MM so that feedback is heard and considered. Our site is for you, the members, and as such we want to ensure that whatever goals you have are addressed, discussed and employed if possible.
In addition, members can always make suggestions and I encourage that as we grow.
I look forward to interacting with you and thank Cathy for the referral.
~Cleo
