Hi,

The link that Cleo gave, above, is excellent and sets out the general Berne Convention stipulations. For those who live / work in the United Kingdom, there are some differences. In respect of Copyright I believe that UK law governs all in the UK (i.e I do not believe that there are seperate laws on this matter for Wales/England - Scotland - Northern Ireland).

The following link is to the Copyright Section of Her Majesty's Patent Office and is an excellent read over your bedtime cocoa. (Well, ok, it's not but it is easy to follow and very valuable). It also provides regular updates and includes all the latest European Union directives (oh joy!). Cheerio.
