Brahms, my dear chap! Thank you very much indeed. I understood all that except "layering treats" - I've only heard of layering in terms of hair treatment. However, I can see this is a food dish. So I see what you mean.

My very best to you, too.

G'morn, Jox, and thanks looking o'er me poem.
Seventh Day are an American conservative
religious group who tire some, and Graham
is a mild tasting cracker type good for
layering treats.  Me best to you,

Brahms

Jasmine was a luxuriant kitten long of soft and black hair,
a fellow of higher means despite daughter's misnaming
someday Jasmine would have his way.

He was so insistent, demanding to have what this kitten pleased
of any in store, including the food of half rotweiler/half shepherd
someday Jasmine would have his way.

Have company come by, longing for that private time
enjoying the couch, singly shared, now clawing lap
someday Jasmine would have his way.

Have company walk by hide-a-bed, wrapped with cover thick
with woven pattern of coloured design laced by swiping claw
someday Jasmine would have his way.

Have young daughter happy to gain joy with her friend, and offer
all the more pleasure with thick graham'd suprise treat swiped
someday Jasmine would have his way.

Have the cat so bratty he became bathroom locked, waylaying
counter-held shelf slid out to block the door, opened by prying knife
someday Jasmine would have his way.

Have that Seventh-Day couple come by again, unfailing words arrive
knocking this moment, opening front door holding same knife to never return
Jasmine did have his way.

Hi Brahms,

Though I did not understand all the references (Seventy Day? - bible? - religious group? and who is Graham?) I enjoyed this.

I like the twist in Jasmin's tail!

Cheers, Jox.

Thanks, Cleo, for this was just a dash of fun for
a past friend.  You know how that is,

Hi Stephen
So this kitten was a tom cat misnamed 'Jasmine' by your daughter.
Now that, like Johnny Cash's character, is sure to start him off in life pretty mad.
This little guy seems almost anti-social.  laugh.gif

These Seventh Day people. They would be Seventh Day Evangelists? Sometimes called Seventh Day Adventists   We have lots of those. Full of doom and gloom and self righteousness. Tiresome is an understatement.
Throw them to the lions. Or Jasmine the Terrible.

A fun read eliciting a fun response

A

Yo, A, a fun resonse to a cowboy kind of cat who seemed
like one of the street gang leaders in West Side Story.

He simply was one who was in charge,
