Hi Folks,
I've loved all your haikus so very much that after reading all of them again, I've decided to begin a SEPARATE thread for Interactive Haiku. So, please use this thread for the "train fashion haiku" and the initial haiku thread for standard haiku. Thanks so much, y'll!!
How about attempting to write one a day for 15 or 30 days in a row? Anyone game to commit to this endeavor?
I'll begin this thread:
Dear Dolly
This may not be quite the direction that you hoped this would go, but you know, an eternal truth is an eternal truth !
COUNTERPOINT
Capricious nature :
what you can have you don't want;
that's women for you !
Love
Alan
Yes, Alan, absolutely! Wonderful!
Dear Dolly
Your last line is 6 syl, so I've shortened it here :
Keepers of the flame
the hearth, home, and family ?
Demand equal rights !
Love
Alan
Thank you so much, Alan! What a goof I made, but it's neither the first nor the last, I'm afraid. I've taken the liberty of correcting my haiku. Here's my rendering for this day/night:
"good for all concerned?"
the cotton dandelion asks
as he floats away.
flicks of powdered dust invade
in a rising cloud.

In a rising cloud
there should be enough moisture
for a morning wash .....

Dear Dolly
Couldn't figure out what you meant until I checked back to Daniel's last line.
I find that you have used a very witty "same sound" word, but have to tell you it is spelled "gnu" !

My version :
How To Really Play
Better pay light bill
but by breaking all the rules;

Wadja think ? You and me might well be chalk and cheese !
Love
Alan
Hahahahah Alan, you're funny! What in the world is "chalk and cheese"? You're cleverly creative and humorous, my friend!
Dear D
Part of expression "As different as chalk and cheese".

Very interesting haiku, Grace, dear! But, this is the INTERACTIVE HAIKU thread. If I could figure out how to move a posting, which still eludes me, I'd move this haiku over to the regular haiku thread ...  But, I don't know how to.
Anyhow, I do like what this one says!
Hugs,
Dolly :butterfly:
Sorry Dolly :blush21:
This follows your haiku about the gnu
Posted: Feb. 04 2004, 22:41
I thought it was the last page! My head is not on quite straight this morning. :speechless:
I shall remove it now.
Love
Grace
NO, NO, NO ... NOT NOW!! I've just written a haiku on yours!!
Well, whatever you decide to do, I'll follow, OK?
Hugs,
Dolly :lovie:
Dear Grace and Dolly
Well now, Grace has removed the post which followed on from one on page 1, then Dolly interactives with the removed post, causing hiccoughs in all hte wrong places.
I vote Grace re-enters her haiku !
Love
Alan
Me too!
Dolly
Whoops!
Trying again to get the thread of things Dolly :blush21:
it can be truly said that
words are their true friends
Hi Dolly and Alan,
Well, having thoroughly messed up your interactive haiku and at the request of Alan I call "fainites" (that Dolly roughly translated means I can't be punished for my transgressions or I call a truce!). So here we go, back to the original follow on
so, was Barnum's famous quote
exaggerated?

Grace
Well, folks, I doubt if we can get any MORE interactive than this !

Alan
