On Christmas Dawn

Come let us celebrate the Christmas dawn;
as did Kings and Shepherds that first morn,
Let the world rejoice a most blessed event,
and consider what to us His birth has meant?

By example he taught that in Love we should abide.
From extending the hand of friendship, never step aside:
help those enslaved escape from oppressive tyranny,
and allow all peoples lives of Peace and Harmony.

Should someone be in need, let no man deny
nor fail to provide a shoulder, on which to cry.
Let all men abstain from judgmental criticism;
instead be governed by the Christian Catechism.

For one who exults over the vanquished foe;
without mercy, demands what the beaten owe?
The gloating, jubilant victor now thought strong,
will find his triumph does last not for long!

But once adversity is overcome, fears addressed,
Love can soon heal wounds of those distressed.,
If we show the once proud, defeated enemy
that we can be Loving and generous, in victory!

So let us live in Peace, and Love as once He taught:
let His stay on earth be not brought to naught!
Let us not forget as the world celebrates today,
that it is His Birth we honour on Christmas Day.
