No, poll workers (the ones who are in charge of a district's election process) are paid here in NJ $300 for a 5:15 qm to 9:00 pm day (up $100 from last year). It's a grueling day.

INFORMING
After an extremely difficult afternoon of training for new procedures in next month's elections (in which Eileen and I serve as poll workers), I cancelled the virtual interview for the job as an employment counselor. I'd never be able, in my current situation, to do the necessary face-to-face follow-up with potential employers for the recovering addicts that the business deals with. I simply had to face the reality of my pain.
I have an appointment with a surgeon for a consultation at the end of next month, so I'll keep trying to endure until then. Even have a virtual interview for being an employment counselor tomorrow!
