TUNISIA
Thanksgiving uneventful; no ingestion, since I'm abstaining.
ABSTAIN
Thanks for asking, Sylvia. Rough night after leaving hospital Tuesday evening. Threw up black mucous, evidently dried blood from the operation. Called hospital early in the morning, but they said it was normal. Wednesday was smooth sailing and Thanksgiving was great with all the grandchildren here and a grand niece too! Daughters worked in kitchen with Eileen and family ate together before 4 pm. I "eat" 2oz of clear liquid (mostly Jell-o) every three hours, and Eileen had been given wrong info by hospital nurse about water between those "meals," which we corrected Thursday evening after talking to another nurse about the color of my urine (dark). That should correct itself over the next 12 hours. See the doc's assistant next week, so we'll see if I will be able to go to the next baby step of ingesting less clear liquid and possibly more. By the way I have to ingest each of my meds an hour apart, which is tedious, of course. BUT, I'm doing okay and only had to take two of the pain meds I was prescribed.

I'm so glad you're over the worst part, Daniel. But it does seem to be a bit rough on you, especially on your patience. Still, you were able to spend Thanksgiving at home with all the grandchildren. That's a blessing. And less pain meds, that's fine. Give my love to Eileen and all the family. God bless you all.

Bid adieu to daughter Dana and Glenn and their four children, plus Glenn's sister and her daughter, as they headed back to Hershey, PA area yesterday evening, after all the "girls" spent 7am - 4pm doing the Black Friday thing together, which they look forward to each year, no so much for the shopping (though they do a little) but for the uninterrupted time together without spouse, children, kitchen. Glenn took care of the eight kids, and I kept the kitchen from over-flowing, washing dishes and keeping food put away, plus cooking down the turkey carcass for Eileen to make soup with when she returned.

I don't like Black Fridays, crowds are awful. But I buy a few things online. Far cheaper. Glad you're able to get around and enjoy life. Blessings to all.
