Having Sighted your Mansion, Sited onshore, to which a Hysterical Egotistical Statistical Decipher expert gave Mention, when Cited for contravention of the “Matelots only” law on his arrest - a Historical, ground breaking moment. Convinced I’m wasting time, when little but Cyprian claptrap prevails, I’m moving on. Rhymer.

After hours in Pensive contemplation, I’ve concluded, you’re either Bewitched, from too much Hooch, or perhaps, your Corset, emitting noises akin to that of an incompetent Ventriloquist, sounds like a loose Canvas flapping in the winter breeze,or echoes your Abdomen’s gastronomic Soliloquy, is alerting listeners you’ve found - God forbid - your copy of a writer’s misplaced Eldorado of Antiquities! I believe most folks know the story of the Tower of Babylon which, although no Camera Man was present, paints a visionary description of the event. Today the chances are we’d get a far different scene to look at, for modernity, in so many ways, has completely changed both our perspective and attitude. For instance, standing on Terra Firma looking up at Attic windows, we might see Air Conditioner units where once only the rare Window Sash would be seen hanging. Besides which chances are a drunken Cretin, high on Bootleg Ethanol based booze, would be skulking in the shadows. Trampling flowers, be they Dianthus, Asters or shade seeking Hostas. Such is the all too common scene, seen today. Rhymer.

After some serious Circumspection as to the rationality of enjoying an Enchanting evening under an imitation Palm Tree, which in reality, was a tree from our Peach Orchard. Watered by a Rivulet from the Rapids nearby, which we had decorated extensively with Columnar leaf patterns, Happenstance saw us actually remaining inside our Snow Covered porch, for Nature’s unforeseen, Tyrannical tantrums had forced us to do so. Having no idea what a Croissan’wich might taste like? I was moved to seek a Contemporaneous - perhaps tasty - Sausage Biscuit to taste. Earlier I was taking part in a Scavenger hunt with a veritable Tsunami of searchers. This little Melodrama was playing out in The Black Forest as we gathered to turn Inside-out the possible hide-out of one they called Gopher. He, an ex-Librarian, was a vile Scavenger that had caused the Demolition of a Shanty retreat, from which listeners had heard the haunting strains of Elgar’s Requiem resonating earlier. Rhymer.

A long time ago I made a Pledge. The Efficacy of which I knew not. However at the time I was facing a Dilemma. Having gone from a Nonchalant listener of Madonna, to the more enjoyable tones of Sister Sledge, it was like savouring a calm Interruption in the roar of heavy Traffic. Staff from a Patisserie watched dumbfounded as the chauffeur and his Cortege from the nearby Embassy, unloaded a Consignment of Medical Records from the rear of his Trademark vehicle. Some swore they saw The Ghost of Christmas Past watching nearby. Should they see later, a time When the Saints go Marching in, they’ll sign the Pledge! It being a Brutal reminder of the finality of life. However, their reported Asinine manifestation, was no worse than some we’ve read here on MM! Rhymer.

I was enjoying a Mocha latte, even as the Cortege entered the Church grounds. Serenaded by a friendly Delightful Rapture group of the deceased friends - a rhythmic Raptor band, instead of the normally Mediocre Aberrant over rated Sphincter Rock group that attended most funerals. Those miscreants from the local Order of Menopause groupies would fondle dried Umbilical cords from which hung string instruments, salvaged from a Merry-go-round carousel, as they played a Requiem to mourners attending. Without a doubt, it had been a memorial Bacchanalian night. Hosted by a Nordic Billionaire it had been billed as an eclectic evening Symphony, which had proved to be a Cornucopia of delight. Taking place after a prolonged session of Backgammon, it had abruptly ended when a Klutz intruder - a typical aberrant Pudding Head who, dressed in Fishnet briefs, had Catapulted into the games room. As I sat at my computer composing a poem in the Rictameter format, I became most annoyed to hear a Kettle Drum tattoo coming from the Pasture alongside the Railroad Tracks. On looking out my small window, I saw a whiff of smoke rising out of the Fire Pit, A reminder it had been lit the night before to bake Apple Dumplings. Located some distance from a nearby Telephone Pole where I had hoped my delightful Manikin sized girlfriend, would Swoon into my arms from the aroma of my cooking. For safety reasons only, I kept a Cosh hidden close, for any attempt of my neighbour Daniel, to encroach upon what I regarded as my territorial rights! A most effective deterrent for such as he! By conducting a survey of a family I knew, I hoped to understand the true meaning of Dichotomy. Studying the differences between two sons born to the same parents, as I discovered their upbringing and social experiences. One likes Macaroni and Cheese: the other loves Scalloped potatoes. One is passionate about Peter Pan: the other becomes emotionally unpredictable when thinking of Thumbelina as a Mermaid. The eldest of the two - experienced in many phases of Life, whilst the other a mere Neophyte, is obsessed - even a Sex Addict - given the opportunity! Whilst the eldest plays the Ocarina: the youngest, plays the fool! Two completely individualistic lads, born to the same parents. However, neither will ever suffer Dishpan hands, as both considered such chores were beneath their dignity. Rhymer.

It was the fancy dress Charity ball of the Costers. With such a varied gathering, the night began with a Slow Worm conga line procession. It being one for abandonment, whereby participants would celebrate the Ancient Order of Barrow Boys. Along with a menu of grilled Rashers the ‘Theme’ was to be their fanciful interpretation of an American Football Scrum. As a result, party goers arriving in droves, were dressed in all manner of garb. One Small Forward wore Gaiters with a ‘gay’ uniform. Another participant found himself at the wrong party, but fascinated by what he saw, remained anyway! Yet another, was dressed in a Petticoat, looking like a beefy effeminate linesman! One heavily built man, carried a Table Tennis - otherwise known as Ping Pong - bat. He was supposedly a Linebacker. If you can imagine such a scene? Then Welcome. You certainly are a worthy participant! Rhymer.

My Jewish friend and I were playing a game of Dreidel - not for money I hasten to add, for he was a master and I? I mere neophyte who found Decoding the rules somewhat tricky! We had spent an evening chatting after I had eaten at the local restaurant. A meal of Baked Ham and Cranberry sauce - Special of the day - rather than partaking of a much touted milk Scald Peking Duck dish, this followed a rendering of Silas Mariner, as interpreted by J.Dowling. Very interesting to say the least! SCORPION ended yesterday, and AQUARIUS is around the corner, so it's time to be sure the COAL bin is full for the furnace and time to get out those TATTERED winter clothes you wear around the house at night while you're watching FAKE NEWS on the TV drinking your MOONSHINE after TWILIGHT. Soon you'll need to get out the TINSEL for your tree and hang up the MISTLETOE too... and (though you don't prefer turkey) you can prepare to have some of that delicious BREAD STUFFING that's made outside of the bird.

Facebook? Huh! Regarded as the authority on all things basic, where ‘the knowing’ spout their rhetoric and try to persuade Fake News, is the Gospel truth! Not for me, despite being told how essential a site it is! Fortunately there are Vigilantes who uncover such nonsense items. Somewhat like Christmas decorations, some regard as the ultimate in Celebrations, with nothing more than a brief glimpse of tawdry Tinsel seen at Twilight. Overnight many are seen as tattered remnant reminders of promises made under the Mistletoe after Moonshine induced vows are viewed in the stark reality of a cold New Year dawn! As for spotting a Blue Jay at the turn of the year? Chances are it is nothing more than a White Dove, looking for some uneaten Bread Stuffing. Turned blue from the biting cold of January it quickly brings us back to reality! Rhymer.

Having been born and raised in a small Hamlet until I joined the Navy, I was unable to know of such delightful Authors, Poets and Playwrights, such as Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson and Margaret Mead - a most prolific scientific author. Not to forget Shakespeare and a host of others, for whom I have great regard. We sure could do with their ilk today! However, I did participate in several sports, such as Soccer, Rugby and Cricket, and spent many hours at cross country running. Both for my Grammar School, and later the RN. The latter in various parts of the Globe from Malta, Aden and Japan.

However to mention Othello without referring to Shakespeare, is tantamount to trying to eat an ice cream without the cream! It just ain’t on! But let’s Skip any suggestion of Snarling rhetoric, regarding the imminent anticipated arrival of Jack Frost! Never an author but certainly a common subject for discussion, this time of the year! We must accept that each of us has, and is entitled to enjoy whatever they choose. Thus said, mine does not include Turkey served up in any shape or form, as a celebration feast? Not my forte! So Thanks, but no Thanks. Rhymer.

Black Friday had dawned, but instead of celebrations, it was a black day in many other respects. At Cock Crow a long Bread Line had formed in the State of Georgia which, as a Janitor pointed out to the Majority Leader of the State, as they stood under a large Citrus tree, looking up at the Cirrus clouds slipping by to the East. There I was, standing dripping wet, having emerged from the Jacuzzi. A dip I’d taken after the competitive Bowl Games in which I had partaken. This was an annual event, that was followed by a Turkey Dinner. The local resident Pantry staff had excelled themselves with this year’s repast. Later, sitting next to a Psychopath nursing a battered old Candelabra and a Monkey Wrench, he had found alongside several dead Vermin outside the storage shed close by. When I asked him if he had any Bowls Idols, and if so, who they might be? He vehemently snarled that when he played Bowls Games, he always visualized the inspiring Wraith like figure of his old Skip who had led the team to victory many times, before he passed over the great divide. A figure he so often saw, and hoped to meet when the time arrived for him to move on. Rhymer.

Despite the Conflict raging in my mind, accompanied by an Apparition of Tamils being assigned a task of cleaning an edifice of famed Architecture that had been hewn from solid rock. I decided it would be best to return to reality and take a logical and Systematic approach to lay out the Blueprint for my much anticipated Retirement.
