I'm one of the refugees from CP looking for a friendly refugee camp to pursue my addiction to posts and crits. I live in Medellin, Colombia, but grew up in New England. Am looking forward to this new crew and hopefully interchanges on the work that will benefit both parties. I write mostly free verse, but am glad to see you have a section for rhymed and metered work, so I'll be delving into that one also. I'm pleased to be here and am anxious to read new work from y'all. Richard

Hi Richard... I've been here before but recently came back with the rest of the TCP group. Good to see you.

Hello Richard and welcome to MM! Newbie.gif PartyFavor.gif Balloons.gif

As I have mentioned to the other 'refugees' (and I do not mind one ounce sun.gif), it's so hard to see another forum close -- we were all crazy active back in the 2000 decade - and then things slowed all over with the introduction of social media - just my guess. Also, some have just pursued other hobbies and such and cannot afford as much time to dedicate to writing, reading and commentary. I am hopeful that MM will pick up again. I've never wanted to close, even when t hings appeared to be so stagnant.

Here at MM, we offer honest, yet friendly feedback in our workshopping forums. The level of critique varies from member to member based on their individual goals. It can take some time to get to know each other and what is being sought. Please do wander our halls, take in our colorful 'tiles' and join in the fun. We've incorporated a star system when you post in the crit forums to tell us what you seek. No stars means comment only. one star for light, 2 for moderate and 3 for thorough. pinkpanther.gif

Ahh, free verse! I am not a strong there but always enjoy reading FV poems. Maybe you can give us some pointers, on how to write them and crit them?

Please let us know if you need any guidance navigating the site or with our participation rules or other goodies we offer.

Welcome!

Collaboration feeds innovation. In the spirit of workshopping, please revisit those threads you've critiqued to see if the author has incorporated your ideas, or requests further feedback from you. In addition, reciprocate with those who've responded to you in kind.

We have plenty of room for refugees here, Richard. You are very welcome! I'm so pleased you came to join us.
