Hi Folks~
Following Dolly's lead here and after reading and interacting with you all in the Haiku and Tetractys Train threads, I've decided to start a SEPARATE thread for an Interactive Cinquain Train.
Same rules (to quote Dolly):
I'll write a cinquain, and then the next person begins theirs with the last line of mine, the next person begins theirs with the last line on that one, etc. They do NOT have to be on the same subject, but they CAN be if you wish. It's all up to YOU! Whattaya think? Shall we give it a go?
How about attempting to write one a day for 15 or 30 days in a row? Anyone game to commit to this endeavor?
I'll begin this thread:
behest His love.
Seldom seen, always felt,
everlasting serenity.
Guide us.
Dear Cleo
I'm game, see below :
THE XXXVIIITH PSALM
Guide us,
walkie-talk man,
right into the end zone
more times than the opposition,
we pray !
Alan McAlpine Douglas
Clever!
Thank you, Lori! Yes, I really like interactive poetry and I sure like yours!Here's mine, beginning with Alan's last two words:
CON-FESS
For us
to survive well,
there must be honesty;
so I con-fess I've never lied,
in truth .....
Alan McAlpine Douglas
in truth
we all must lie
if we would sleep at night;
alas, I make it hard for her…
I snore

I MARRIED EWE
I snore,
she says; she lies;
and she lies "wide awake"
counting the sheep she's married to;
in dreams .....
Alan McAlpine Douglas
In dreams
I watch you sleep,
brush hair off your temple,
curl my finger around it
and sigh.
SACRIFICIAL
and sigh,
and weep, and die,
ye sacrificed women,
whose lands have become the playground
of war .....
Alan McAlpine Douglas

when time as drums
incessantly sounding

in death
in death
I see the end
of struggles here below;
new life with Him Who rose again
awaits

Hi All,
It appears I made the same mistake our Grace did, replying to one cinquain before checking to see if another page had come and gone. So sorry! Daniel, you've come through like the person I know you to be, a real trooper! Thank you so much for saving my face... :pharoah2

That's really a cute one, Daniel! A keeper!
About that limerick thread, it's to be an INTERACTIVE one ... you didn't mention that so I wasn't sure you knew. Thank you so much for agreeing to do this!
