PARKING PENALTIES

“Snappy” Jones, master snapper
had no qualms encroaching
on any handsome couple,
whose dread of being seen
required remote locations.

They’d bemoan intrusion
into their privacy, and try
to extricate themselves
by dangling money before him.
Pennies to the stupefying tabloid sums ....

Alan McAlpine Douglas

Challenge words : snappy master encroach handsome
dread remote bemoan extricate dangle stupefy

Hey, this is so enjoyable, Alan! How deftly you've used the given words to write about this humorous but quite real situation.
Good use of irony, as well.

It's 2.30 a.m., I can't nit or crit till daylight & cups of tea...LOL... writersblock.gif

Cheers, Syl***

The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

"There is no life higher than the grasstops
Or the hearts of sheep, and the wind
Pours by like destiny, bending
Everything in one direction."

Sylvia Plath, Crossing the Water, Wuthering Heights.
