Where in the World is Wally?
Dear friends, Should someone ask you - tell them please; “He has been called away.” We promised him we’d post a message just to let you know there was no time to say goodbye to each of you.
The doctor's said they will be operating next Tuesday. It seems those wounds have not been healed satisfactorily, another bone graft on the leg is what they need to do. A routine op they say - then he will have to rest a while and after that it’s hoped he will be up and walking soon - perhaps without those clicking sticks – (we’ll have to wait and see).
We know he’s worried and the thought of dripping tubes and surgeon’s blades has made his patience short so please don’t say a word he’d be embarrassed if he knew – that we told you we thought we saw a hiding tear or two.
Anyway, we think you know within his heart, there is a special place for each of you. So in that hospital his friends and loved one’s will be standing by, calling angels down to cheer him up and hold his hand.
The hour’s now late and we should take our leave, although it has been nice to sit and chat today. Please do excuse our shocking verse (his pen was indisposed) and we are simply Spirit Guides within his turmoiled mind enclosed.
Love, Thoth and the Muse.

To Thoth and, 'The Muse' - Please keep a watchful eye on dear Wally for us. You know him so much better than some of us do. If, at a later date, you can find a moment to let us know how he is doing - we would be delighted to hear from you both again. Hugz, Leo

And this time from Argentina, a belated plead for the Spirit Guides within Wally's mind to let us know how he's getting on. A simply wonderful way to say "hasta luego" (see you soon, in Spanish) with a splendid poem. I'm overcome with admiration.
Peace & hugs, Syl***

Hello my friends,
I just wrote to Bev with all my moans and groans. The end result is that I survived the op and the doctor tells me I will be OK. I must be the worst patient ever because I don't believe a word he says and am considering calling friends who work magic to reflect his work back on him.
Joking aside, I am fine if I keep perfectly still.
Thanks for all the support
Love,
Wally

Wally, reminds me of the old joke where the patient says to the doc, "Doctor it hurts when I move like that!" Doctors reply, "Don't move like that." Not really funny but kind of common sense. I have been told over and over too many times that the more you move and stretch and exercise it is supposed to make things better... I say BULL crap.. it bloody well hurts, stop flappin' your gums and give me some thing for this pain fool. I would just once like to be able to give someone just a few seconds of the pain I am in, just to see the expression on their face. I know it hurts mate, I certainly hope it stops soon. And You can always write me if you feel a need to dump frustration, I think I can fully understand.
A friend in need if you need, Steve

I Yam finally Back home!
Very sore, wobbbly, a little sentimental but undaunted.
The Cape robin is singing outside my window, telling me all the gossip of the neighborhood. Seems the fierce storms and icy unseasonal weather is the main topic but everyone is happier now the wind has dropped.
Chat later, I must rest.
Hugz to ya all!
Wally

Hi Wally,
I just saw this post tonight!!! I didn't know you'd been in the hospital again!! I'm sending my best wishes to you along with a favorite quote of the best poem I've ever read for helping me in times of trouble.
"....that which we are, we are- One equal temper of heroic hearts Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
Ulysses by Alfred, Lord Tennyson 1842
You are in my thoughts and prayers!!!
Peggy
