Greetings All.

Hmm. Where to start... We had some snow come through Saturday night/Sunday morning. Unusual for October around here but still. They were only predicting around 6" around here so I figured no big deal. Well, easiest to just say I was wrong.. It was 4" of very heavy, wet snow (the kind that's almost water and turns into shovels of water when you try to move it) and with all the trees still having leaves on them and 50MPH wind gusts, seems like pretty much any branch that had anything wrong with it (and a bunch that didn't) got knocked off the trees and made a bee-line for the nearest power line. With almost 700,000 people in Mass without power at the height of the storm it was worse than the last 2 events. I lost Internet nere around 1am Sunday from what I can tell, and power at 10A Sunday and it wasn't restored until around 2P today (Tuesday). Hopefully they're done with all the repairs in this area and there won't be any outages from here...

Sorry to not post a warning like I usually do when I think something might take the system offline but honestly I didn't think this one would be a big deal, and even when I do lose power it's not usually a 2+ day event...

Anyway, all seems back online and well now however. If you notice any problems just drop me a note and I'll look into it.

Take care and catch y'all later!

I

Hooray!!! I'm so pleased to see MM up and running again.

Thanks for letting us know what's been going on. Snow in October!! Wow!! It's almost like spring here tody --but I don't expect that to last much longer.

So glad all is well.

Wow! Thanks P! dance.gif

We lost power in Auburn around 8:20pm Saturday and it just came back about an hour ago. YES, we toughed it out even when it was 20 degrees the past few nights! Snow-blowed the 12 inches we got here and re-injured my damned trapezious muscle yet again (after just healing from July's car accident) shoveling the steps with that heavy watery shit they called 'snow'. Snowman.gif

Had to blow off work yesterday and ended up going to Milton (across the state it seemed, lol) to shower at Barry's folks. We had planned to pack it up tonight to shower at work tomorrow as there are locker rooms there but while I was packing, the power came back! YAY!!! Near to 4 full days - that SUCKED!!!!!! No power, no heat - luckily could use stove to heat water and soup and such and the toilets and faucets. Nothing like staring at a pellet stove and knowing it won't work without electricity. Wall.gif Well, I just hope now we don't catch cold!! We lost a few trees outside but was able to salvage the lilac trees and the cherry and crab apple trees - they were hanging completely to the ground Sunday morning but they've bounced back. gardener.gif

The cats are becoming more lively now that I have the pellet stove and the regular heat cranking here - even they were freezing! chilly.gif Imagine that - what a trick for Halloween! ghostface.gif

Hope all are well and thanks again!
