As morning's perfection introduces hope for the day,
foreboding evil lurks in the wings.

Unaffected, they forge through
steadily embracing adventure of flight,
gliding forcefully
ghostly terror unfolds.

Within cherished seconds
symbolization of Red, White and Blue
explodes a profusion of oranges and reds,
while life's evanescent fragments scatter
against a crisp panorama-
fire bursting bright.

Surreal horror unfolds as
searing buildings slowly collapse,
smoky rubble of destruction
gently cascades down
                               down
                                        down...

Billowing haze engulfs the city
revealing a haunting raven cloud,
the Melting Pot transforms into
imposing chaos.

Days pass, bewildered divulgence of ghostly
reality envelops helpless hearts as
quiet spectators observe
hellish images scorching distressed brains
unraveling demonic atrocities.

Digesting unpredictable horror
layered with insurmountable pain,
with inconceivable tragedy
eventuating our world,
evil boldly confessing truth.

Void of fathomable words to conceptualize cold
calculated abhorrence,
troubled hearts grasp numbing anesthetics
leaving desperation
drawn from utter unacceptance.

Forever in our hearts and memories....

Hi Lindi

A very powerful poignant reminder of the horrors of 4 years ago.

My thoughts are with the families and friends of those who died, who are still trying to come terms with the tragedy and are struggling to live for tomorrow.

Hello Jan~ sun.gif

Thank you for stopping by to read and leave such caring words!

There is no easy way to express such abhorrent horror in words, but it still feels cathartic to release!!!

Be well~

Hey Lori~

Thanks for your kind words, again! Remember when I first sent this poem to you, which was posted on Ricky's Place?

You have come a long way baby, with your own site and everything else!

Anyway, it is hard to believe that it was 4 years ago that this horror unfolded in front of us all!

It is hard to remember, but we must never forget!

Take care and be well!

Blessings~
Lindi
