Sorry for the inconvenience, there were some commercial power outages in the area (5:11, 5:37, and 6-9a local, 9:11, 9:37, 10-13:00 GMT) this morning.

Thanks, Peter

Suspected that.

Are you two ok - no souffles ruined or frozen food melting?

Cheers, J.

I actually read through two cookbooks, a Home Theatre mag and started writing a sequel to my 'Josette's Tears' poem and had Cheerios (honey nut like me) for breakfast while himming and hahwing over the power being out....

Ahh well....

Hi Lori

"Cheerios" also sold over here - a breakfast cerial. So know of those.

How could you write with no power?

I can never write by hand - and, even if I do, I can't read the words. My partner is a pharmacist and reads doctors' writing (or used to before they went computerised, too) but can never read my scrawl.

If I'm away from the PC I have a PDA and a dictaphone.

Glad you survived!

err... cheerio!

J.

LOL.gif! Let me first 'get over' this Harry Potter craze....

Ahhh - if only WE can be like (or get a publishing deal with Scholatic) JKR one day? cloud9.gif

I turned on my laptop silly  :speechless: (battery only) - I had saved Josette's Tears into a Word doc on this machine previously. Idea.gif

Yes - hard to write now with pen and paper - me spoiled!  :jester:

Can't believe at's after 10 already! Just a few more stanzas to go for this 'prelude'....

Fran -  thanks - yes - I immediately think OH NOOOOOOO! NO POWER!!!!  :StarWars2:  :StarWars3:  :cali: ninja.gif

Hi Lori

Glad we are back online now and the power outage wasn't too frustrating.  Thank goodness for laptops, though I manage quite happily with pen and paper as I tend to write a lot of my poems on the way to work.

LOL, my daughters have been counting down the days.  This morning they were lying in wait for the postman (I had to order two copies so they don't fight over it) and they haven't moved from behind their books all day.  I just have to go into the bedroom every now and again to keep them supplied with food and drink.  I have to wait till they have finished to read it.  They had better not give the story away.

Thank You Lori and James,

I went into panic mode...

Sorry, for not realising the real reason for being shut out.

John.

So sorry John! Wall.gif

I HATE when that happens while I'm on the Net. In our case, it was commercial power outage (the power plant itself) and since we host the forum board portion of MM, we are (unfortunately) at the mercy of them...

HUGS
